TEDDY and the TEDDY KIDS Network: Exploring Biotechnology
From 29 September to 6 October 2025, Biotech Week — a European initiative dedicated to promoting scientific culture and innovation in the field of biotechnology – is back!
In Italy, the initiative is promoted and coordinated by Assobiotec and involves institutions, companies, research centers, and schools in a wide range of events aimed at bringing the world of biotechnology closer to the public — especially younger generations. TEDDY, together with the TEDDY KIDS Network, which includes Young Persons Advisory Groups (YPAGs) across Europe, will actively organize and participate in the session titled “The Active Role of TEDDY KIDS in European Paediatric Research”, focusing on the role of biotechnology in the medical field. Young people, eager to learn and share scientific knowledge, will contribute their voices, perspectives, and enthusiasm to raise awareness and foster a culture of ethical and responsible research. This will be an opportunity to showcase how research and innovation are transforming healthcare and improving quality of life, with particular emphasis on paediatric research.
During the session organized by TEDDY, researchers, experts, and healthcare professionals will engage directly with young people to inform and raise awareness about the importance of biotechnology, encouraging a meaningful dialogue between science and future generations.
