The Charter is designed to drive a transformation in thinking, focusing on empowering children and ensuring their active role in biomedical research. It emphasizes that young patients, through their involvement in YPAGs, should actively participate in decisions and activities that directly affect their health. Moreover, it stresses the importance of recognizing and strengthening their unique insights and experiences to ensure that their voices are heard and valued in the development of healthcare solutions.

This Agreement establishes the guiding principles of the TEDDY KIDS Network’s mission. It formalizes the membership of YPAGs, including both existing and new groups, that are joining the TEDDY KIDS Network. Through their representatives, the YPAGs formally commit to collaborating in the advocacy for better paediatric healthcare. By signing this Agreement, the YPAGs and their members pledge to work together to improve healthcare outcomes for children and to promote child-centered approaches in the development of medical solutions through advancements in medicine, research, and biomedical innovation.

Young Person Advisory Groups (YPAGs)
The TEDDY KIDS Network includes the following YPAGs groups: KIDS Albania, KIDS Bari, KIDS Kosova, KIDS Rare Hellas, KIDS RAiN, KIDS Umbria, POLPEDNET KIDS Warsaw, ANDO Portugal, EYE YPAG London.
TEDDY KIDS Advisory Group
The TEDDY KIDS Advisory Group is composed of at least 5 individuals. TEDDY KIDS group has the following aims:
- promotion and coordination between different young persons advisory groups;
- peer support and information for children, young patients and participants in paediatric studies;
- training and engagement of children on issues linked to research;
- increase in public awareness.
One member from TEDDY KIDS group elected within the group participates in the Board of Directors.
