KIDS Albania at Tirana’s New Pediatric Hospital
In March, KIDS Albania organized an educational visit to the newly inaugurated Pediatric Hospital of the University Hospital Center “Mother Teresa” in Tirana.
During the visit, children and young adults had the opportunity to explore the Oncology and Thalassemia units, as well as the Blood Bank. For some members, it was their first time learning their blood type, an important moment to begin learning about health and disease prevention. This experience offered valuable insights into blood typing, infectious disease screening, transfusions, and, above all, the importance of blood donation as an act of solidarity.
Through initiatives like these, TEDDY Network is committed to raising awareness among younger generations about rare diseases, the importance of donation, and the value of caring for others.
