The activities of the Italian Young Persons Advisory Group (YPAG), KIDS Bari, keep on and this year will be focused on the development of a serious game on the theme of Paediatric Clinical Research and Clinical Trial Center, as a playful training tool for the young members of the YPAGs and for paediatric patients. Moreover, even this year KIDS Bari supports the Rare Disease Day, that took place on 29 February 2020
The activities of the Italian Young Persons Advisory Group (YPAG), KIDS Bari, keep on and this year will be focused on the development of a serious game on the theme of Paediatric Clinical Research and Clinical Trial Center, as a playful training tool for the young members of the YPAGs and for paediatric patients.
The objective of the serious game is to explain to young users what clinical trials are, how they are performed and why they are important for developing drugs suitable for children.
The healthy youths and young patients, members of the KIDS groups, are working on the design of the serious game. Along with the game developers of HERO Robot srl, the members of KIDS Bari are defining the main features of the serious game, by deciding the characters, revising the language and the contents and identifying the key topics to be addressed. HERO team will develop the game based on the suggestions and ideas of the KIDS Bari youths, who are actively involved in the definition of the key issues and questions in the paediatric research projects as well as in the communication and sensitization activities about the healthcare by consciously using the social networks.
Moreover, even this year KIDS Bari supports the Rare Disease Day, that took place on 29 February 2020. The youths have created the slogan “Raise Awareness of Our Rareness” and share the pictures and images on social channels.
