The network

Launched in 2003 as an EU-funded consortium in response to a call published by the European Commission, between 2005 and 2010 the FP6 funded TEDDY project has played a critical role in the start-up of the paediatric activities in Europe.

At the end of the funded period, a number of TEDDY partners and collaborators decided to continue to contribute to the advancements in the paediatric research field, starting from the activities and the accumulated expertise and having as reference the new European scenario following the entry into force of the Paediatric Regulation.

TEDDY has therefore revised its organisation and has involved research centres and groups willing to be engaged in developing clinical research.

Today, TEDDY is an independent multidisciplinary, multinational Network encompassing both some of the old FP6-TEDDY-NoE partners and new relevant experiences and competences aimed at facilitating the performance of good quality paediatric studies and research.

In 2014, TEDDY became a category 4 network member of Enpr-EMA, the European Network of Paediatric Research at the European Medicines Agency.
