KIDS ALBANIA: A Celebration with Snoopy
October 2, 2025 – In a heartwarming collaboration to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Peanuts, a unique art initiative took place at the University Hospital Center Mother Teresa (UHCT) in Albania. The Foundation for Hospital Art, in partnership with KIDS Albania, a Young Patient Advisory Group (YPAG) of the TEDDY KIDS Network, and the iconic Snoopy, brought a burst of color and joy to the pediatric service at UHCT.
Children from KIDS Albania and young patients at UHCT worked together to create beautiful Peanuts-themed artworks, which were then donated to the hospital’s pediatric ward. These colorful pieces of art now decorate the ward, brightening the environment for both patients and staff.
Ornela Cullufe, leader of KIDS ALBANIA, and Manika Kreka, Pediatric Professor and Researcher at the UHCT, have guided the young participants throughout this important initiative, offering support and mentorship every step of the way. Below are some of the feedback shared by young members of KIDS Albania who participated in the initiative:
Fiona Rako shared her joy: “It was such a fun afternoon at the hospital, coloring with the children. I hope it brought as much joy to the patients as it did to me.” Dea Kreka added, “It was heartwarming to share creativity with the kids. Snoopy is a favorite of ours, and seeing the children’s reactions was priceless!” Lastly, Dion Kraja reflected: “We had such a great time, and seeing the patients so excited to join us in coloring made it even more special.”
This art initiative brought not only joy but also a sense of community, showing how creativity can be a powerful tool for healing and connection.
